I am so tired of working in my current job, it is really boring and I was thinking last night about how you only get one life, so you might as well do something you really enjoy. I was searching online and found this video game tester blog which chronicles his journey from dead end job to successful games tester. It really inspired me to sort my life out and start chasing after what I want. I understand that they pay is not very good, but I really don’t care. As long as I have enough money to eat and pay my rent, I will just be happy to be doing a job I love. I started putting together a resume last night and am sending out applications to games publishers as we speak. Hopefully I will hear something back by the end of the month. It feels good to take action!
Do you know anyone who is a video game tester? I would love to hear from you guys, I think there must be quite a few out there and it would be great to get some advice, hints, and tips from someone who has been through the recruitment process. I am a bit scared about the job interview and if there are any tests. I am quite a shy person so normally don’t do very well at interviews. I got my fingers crossed, I really hope something comes of this opportunity.
